Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force across various domains, including education. In the realm of special education, AI holds promise for revolutionizing teaching methodologies and enhancing learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. This systematic review investigates the impact of AI in special education by analyzing a wide range of literature sources, including research articles, conference papers, and academic publications. The review synthesizes findings related to the utilization of AI technologies such as intelligent tutoring systems, virtual reality, machine learning algorithms, and natural language processing in catering to the individualized needs of students with disabilities. Through a comprehensive analysis, this review elucidates the potential benefits, challenges, and future directions of integrating AI into special education practices.
