Abstract

In the ever-evolving landscape of education, the integration of artificial intelligence is no longer a far-off dream but a blossoming reality. One of the most promising and transformative aspects of this integration is the potential for collaborative learning between students and AI entities. Research on the use of AI to support student learning in computer-supported collaborative learning environments is beginning to gain attention. This development will have an impact on how students formulate and examine problems, look into other viewpoints, and utilise a variety of resources through collaboration and interpersonal interactions. This article examines artificial intelligence techniques for collaborative learning settings, including natural language processing, neural networks, instance-based reasoning, decision trees, and fuzzy logic. Although a number of challenges have been encountered when implementing AI in collaborative learning environments, the benefits to inclusion and equity in education are substantial. Finally, this article attempts to highlight the potential benefits that AI offers for collaborative learning in the upcoming era of education.
