Abstract

Education has been given a facelift by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies through enabling new opportunities for content development and academic support. One of such innovative technologies is ChatGPT, an OpenAI brainchild that provides a way to create a variety of educational content. This research examines the role of ChatGPT in generating educative content by discussing its capabilities, drawbacks and how it can influence teaching and learning processes. In a literature-based review design, the paper discusses how efficiently or ineffectively ChatGPT can be in producing various kinds of educational content like well written materials, personalized tutorship, tutoring support or language practice. It also explores obstacles to adopt ChatGPT in educational institutes. Additionally, this study suggests some interventions which may help to maximize benefits from ChatGPT despite its weaknesses such as ensuring information accuracy, enhancing critical thinking skills, etc. By providing insights into the evolving landscape of AI in education and the specific contributions of ChatGPT, this research aims to inform educators, policymakers, and technology developers about the potential opportunities and challenges associated with integrating AI-powered tools into educational practices. Ultimately, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on leveraging AI for content creation and instructional support in the field of education.
