Abstract

In the 21st century, a rapid change in the education system has been seen through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. The traditional teaching-learning process has started to shift to a digitalized platform, and the virtualized platform. This scenario has risen to the top since the pandemic. The integration and application of AI facilitate quality education along with universal access to lifelong learning all over the world. Several research studies have shown the effectiveness and efficiency of artificial intelligence in different areas of the education system, like teaching, learning, and assessment. Chat GPT is a generative AI-based tool that has immense power to generate and create information according to the needs of the hour. It is a potential AI-based large language model, and after the launch of Chat GPT, not only in the arena of education but also an industrial revolution has been seen. It allows both educational consumers and producers to take advantage of advantages like tailored learning and reduce the work load. This study emphasized the role played by Chat GPT in the teaching-learning process and also focused on the negative effects of Chat GPT-like plagiarism, a decrease in human interactions, a lack of emotional intelligence, etc. This study is based on secondary sources of data that were collected from different journals, websites, and research papers. Although there are many disadvantages, a metamorphic transformation has been started, so it can be said that Chat GPT is in a developing stage, and there is also a need to develop skills among teacher-students. The findings of the study also revealed that the modernized technology of AI does not replace the human brain.
