Abstract

Sign language is an important tool for communication and can play a vital role in the education of students with disabilities, particularly those in higher education. This research paper explores the need and importance of sign language for students with disabilities in higher education. The paper examines the challenges faced by these students in higher education, including communication barriers, and how sign language can help to address these challenges. The paper also explores the benefits of sign language for students with disabilities, including increased access to information, improved communication with peers and faculty, and enhanced academic performance. This paper concludes by arguing that sign language is an essential tool for ensuring the equal participation of students with disabilities in higher education.
