Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have the potential to transform higher education and improve learning opportunities for students with disabilities. AI can help remove barriers such as lack of accommodation, study materials, and guidance, allowing for greater inclusion in higher education systems. However, challenges remain in the form of a lack of quality data and trained personnel needed for successful AI integration. As the AI is still in its initial stages of integration, governments and policy-making body’s worldwide need to develop comprehensive policies on the use of AI toensures equitable inclusion for different groups of students. Addressing these challenges and concerns is crucial to realizing the full potential of AI in higher education for students with disabilities.Metrics
