Abstract

For children with impairments, family members are the primary and most important educators. Ensuring the intellectual growth of children requires a collaborative effort between the family and school. For their children with impairments, parents are entitled to select the kind of school and educational programs. In order to discuss the established educational program, they can participate in a variety of ways, such as by regularly attending parent-teacher conferences. Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are designed for children, and involvement from parents and other family members is encouraged in their development and implementation.
