INNOVATIVE APPROACH IN OPEN LEARNING IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

Abstract

Education is sum total of experiences which we gain in our daily life. Informal education takes place out side formal schooling. The concept has undergone a sea change, now the number of enrollment in open schooling has exceeded the regular students in colleges or universities. There was a general notion that brilliant students take admission in Engineering, Medical Science, Pure Science etc. This idea has become obsolete. Interest towards Humanities and Social Science is growing, even in Indian Administrative Service examination a good number of would be administrator, opt for subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, etc. Obviously, researcher, are also trying to find out newer modes of improving teaching and learning of Social Science subjects. This research paper seeks to find out the evolution and merits of online education system and how new trends in ICT, smart class etc influence this scenario.
