Abstract

Mandela had rightly understood the authenticity and cruciality of education to turn out as a driving force, not only for a nation but come out as the major changing factor for the entire world. The concept of education practices has changed in these previous years as the Covid-19 pandemic has represented itself to include every sector to get into the territory of online, leaving a few who are immobile in nature, such as the healthcare sector. To construct a long term teaching and learning applicable method and to re-conceptualize educational methods in the changing scenarios, an urgent need for online technological solutions had to be brought on the platter. Many previous research and studies have shown that online learning is considered to be one of the most proficient tools of 'teaching and learning' approach. To relearn the procedures further, Nation Education Policy (NEP 2020) is the very first policy of the 21st century for the inspection of re-vitalizing the higher education for quality assurance and achieving excellence. The ideas of using online based educational technologies to improve learning, assessment, planning and administration have been a need of the hour and NEP 2020 sufficiently supports it to become a dynamic process for that. This paper highlights how this entire change has not been as easy and flexible as it sounds due to containing a drastic change in the structural complications, the unequal sharing of digital division, the unstable financial approaches and the lack of awareness. Further this paper is having the reviews of few of the research materials attempted between 2020 to 2022 to have an in-depth understanding how students have taken the completely new methods of online learning during pandemic in Indian as well as Asian scenario. The paper also contemplates the implementation and challenges of open educational resources (OER) aka technology-enabled e-learning model (TEL) in the educational paradigm in India.
